Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs, announced that the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme will be re-launched and laptops will be distributed to one lakh individuals enrolled in government colleges and universities.

In her speech, she addressed members of the Green Youth Movement of Universities at Down University of Health Science Karachi. Every year, 2 million new Pakistanis seek employment, but the job market cannot accommodate them all. The fact that 30 percent of graduates do not get jobs is unfortunate, she said. As a result, graduates should be enabled to become job providers rather than just being employable in order to provide employment to others.

Engineer Javed Ali Memon and Dr. Sambal Shamim, who are in charge of Regional Center Karachi and Sports and Curriculum Division, also spoke at the event. Moreover, Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the government offers Rs 12,000 per month internships for undergraduates in public and private institutions. A country's development can be boosted by using the youth properly.

In the 2017 census, youth were 68 percent of the population, while youngsters between 15 and 29 years old were 50 million, while people under 15 years of age were 5 million, according to Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Due to lack of awareness, thousands of dollars of scholarships are wasted every year for our youth. Graduates will be able to apply for scholarships offered by different authorities and universities around the world as a result of the government's efforts.
