Overview
St. Patrick’s College was founded in 1952 by the Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi( represented by the Catholic Board of Education Karachi) has a distinguished tradition of scholarship and places much emphasis on individual teaching and on friendly personal contact between its students and senior members. The first Principal of St. Patrick’s College was Rev.Fr. Stephen Raymond.On 1st September 1972, the college was nationalized and its management taken over by the Government of Sindh. The college operated under the name of St. Patrick’s Government College. After a struggle spanning three decades and amidst a lot of controversy, the college was de-nationalised. It was handed back to its rightful owners, the Catholic Board of Education, on the 7th May 2005 by Dr. Hamida Khuro the then Minister of Education, Government of Sindh.
