Work has started on outsourcing exams for Sindh
According to Express News, Sindh's Provincial Department of Universities and Boards has begun working on partially outsourcing matriculation and intermediate examinations.
Consequently, all education boards are requested not to submit tenders for outsourcing examinations; instead, the Department of Universities and Boards will issue a joint tender in which four different stages of matriculation and inter-board examinations will be conducted by all education boards.
For the handover to a private party, "expressions of interest" will be sought.
In a meeting of the Sindh Chairman Boards, headed by Ismail Rahoo, the decision was taken. As a result of sources close to the Secretary Universities and Boards participating in the meeting, all the Chairman Boards were informed on this occasion that the four stages of examinations do not need to be outsourced to a private company, "Paper Setting, Conducting Examinations, Assessment and Release of Results,".
A phase of the examinations can be outsourced.
During the meeting, the chairmen were informed that this was now a government policy. Therefore it must be implemented tomorrow if not today, and so a partial implementation is necessary from now on.
