Private schools and colleges in Sindh can no longer require parents and students to buy stationery and uniforms from certain businesses, according to the Sindh Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions (DIRPIS).

Principals and administrators of private schools and colleges in Sindh must ensure that parents and students are not forced to acquire vital goods from a select few retailers, according to the most recent DIRPIS regulation. Otherwise, they will be punished severely.

Rather than encouraging parents and students to buy essential stationery and other items, private schools and colleges might now provide a list of books, notebooks, and practical copies that they can obtain from any shop.

DIRPIS has also prohibited private schools and universities from charging students on a bi-monthly, quarterly, or six-monthly basis. Private institutes have been asked by DIRPIS to collect money from students on a monthly basis.
