UC level recruitment of schoolteachers in Balochistan

In order to address the shortage of teachers in the province, the Balochistan government has decided to recruit teachers at the union council level.

According to a press release issued by the education department, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Aqeeli have made important decisions about the improvement of education in the province.

Teachers will be hired online as part of the chief minister's instruction to ensure transparency.

“If we talk about Pakistan, then the most backward and less literate province of the country is Balochistan,” an official explained. He added that thousands of primary and middle schools are currently non-functional due to a lack of teachers.

The quality of education in Balochistan is not as high as the Sustainable Development Goal requires due to a lack of teachers, although there are many other issues including limited resources, vast geography, and extreme weather conditions.

For the first time in the province's history, the provincial government decided to recruit teachers at the union council level to overcome the teacher shortage.

It is important to ensure the presence of teachers, ensuring that every child has access to education.

The agenda is to make schools operational and functional as soon as possible. If anyone attempts to create unnecessary obstacles, he will be dealt with firmly, according to the official.

During the recruitment process for each district, the test will be taken in the same district, he said. Secretary education would personally supervise all processes in each district in order to ensure transparency.
