Top QS ranked universities are offering free PhD programs
Pakistani students in Punjab now have an excellent opportunity to enhance their research. The experience of studying abroad can be challenging and rewarding. It will lead to growth and development on a personal level as well.
Students enrolled in a Punjab-recognized university may apply for a PhD program through the Pakistan Higher Education Commission.
In this research fellowship program, students can conduct their complete research in top 200 QS ranked universities for a period of six months.
Subjects offered by the International Research Support Fellowship
The IRSF phase IV program is open to students in the following subjects:
- Humanities
- Management Sciences
- Science & Technology
International Research Fellowships 2023 - Details
- There is an age limit of 45 years
- Punjabi nationality is required
- Applicants must be enrolled in either a public or private university in Punjab and need to have completed course work
- Completion of comprehensive examination
- BARS (Board of Advanced Study and Research) or any other legal entity of the university must approve the finalized PhD research proposal/synopsis
- Research acceptance letter from a foreign university (ranked 200 in QS in 2023)
What are the benefits?
- Up to 250,000 PKR as a bench fee
- Allowance/fixed stipend for living expenses
- Fares for air travel (maximum 130,000 PKR)
The application process
- Applications must be submitted both online and on paper
- PHEC application submitted online
- The complete application must be printed and mailed to the PHEC in Lahore
