The importance of improved Pak-UK collaboration on higher education standards emphasized by the President
President Dr. Arif Alvi called on Pakistan and the United Kingdom to strengthen bilateral cooperation to boost the quality and standards of higher education in the nation on Wednesday.
He emphasized that improvements in education would pave the way for new opportunities in domains such as health, agriculture, and artificial intelligence.
Addressing a ceremony on the Pak-UK Education Gateway, the president stated that the UK has always supported Pakistan, notably in the areas of education and health.

The Gateway Program aims to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan's and the United Kingdom's higher education sectors in areas such as innovative and collaborative research, higher education leadership, and more.
The programme will help the HEC achieve its Vision 2025 goals, which include increasing gross higher education enrolment by 15%, PhD faculty by 40%, the number of universities to 300, and overall enrolment to 7.1 million.
