Teachers are being trained by HED across Punjab
The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) has begun providing continuous professional development to college professors and college teaching interns (CTIs) throughout the province.
According to the specifics, each month, college professors and CTIs would be trained in six subjects (English, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). Approximately 62 institutions have been designated as cluster centres for continuing vocational training throughout all districts.
The teachers will be trained in groups by the District Subject Coordinators and the HED and District Offices will oversee training at all centres.
The Punjab chapter of the Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) has criticised police action in Baluchistan against university instructors and employees demonstrating over salary reduction.
FAPUASA Punjab President Prof Dr Azhar Naeem, General Secretary Prof Dr Hafiz M Tahir, Vice-President Dr Ahtisham Ali, and Secretary PUASA Dr Amjad Abbas Khan Magsi issued a joint statement strongly condemning Baluchistan police for using baton charges against university teachers protesting in front of the provincial assembly.
The Shahid Javed Burki Institute of Public Policy and Pakistan's Meta-Agri Greater Venture Collective held an awareness session on "Valorising the Economy: Connectivity Dividend" at the Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGVCP).
BIPP Chairman Shahid Javed Burki, speaking at the event, stated that the main focus was on ensuring sustainable growth in revitalised agriculture choices in order to reduce the trade deficit and focus on growth.
