Schools & colleges in Islamabad have changed their uniform policy

For educational institutes under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), the uniform policy has been relaxed. As Islamabad braces for a major cold spell, the step has been taken as a precautionary measure.

Students are allowed to dress warmly and protect themselves from the cold weather by wearing warm clothes of any color, according to the official notification.

The relaxation of dress regulations applies only to private educational institutes registered with PEIRA Islamabad.

Additionally, private educational institutions are required to open their doors no earlier than 8:30 AM during the months of January and February.

Moreover, the FDE has also changed the timings for educational institutes operating under it. As of 11th January, the modified timings will remain in effect until further notice.

In the coming days, the country will be swept by a brutal cold wave. Most parts of Pakistan, including Islamabad, will experience a drop in temperature. Subsequently, Margalla Hills, being close to Murree, are likely also to experience snowfall.
