School shooting in Pakistan claims several lives

School shooting in Pakistan claims several lives

A Pakistani-Afghan border school in the Kurram area was attacked and 7 lives were taken. According to the police, armed men entered the school and opened fire indiscriminately in the staff room.

Initial reports indicate the deceased teachers were on duty during the matriculation examinations at Government High School Teri Mangal.

According to police sources, Muhammad Sharif was killed by unknown gunmen on Solozan Road after they opened fire on a moving vehicle. Teri Mangal High School was attacked by armed men after the attack, which resulted in the death of six schoolteachers and an employee.

Among the deceased are Mir Hussain, Jawad Hussain, Naveed Hussain, Jawad Ali, Muhammad Hussain, and Ali Hussain. A policeman was also injured as a result of the attack by the armed men, according to DPO Kurram Agency.

There have been closures of transportation routes across the district and a state of emergency in hospitals following the incident. Examinations to be held under the Kohat Board matriculation board have been postponed indefinitely.

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both condemned the attack and killing of teachers in Upper Kurram Agency and Parachinar.

They stressed that the accused should be brought to justice as soon as possible.

As Punjab's caretaker chief minister, Mohsin Naqvi described the firing incident as highly heartbreaking.
