Remembering the victims of the Army Public School attack 8 years ago

On this very day in 2014, terrorists attacked the Army Public School in Peshawar, killing more than 150 innocent children.

It is impossible for parents of martyrs to forget that horrible day. Even parents whose children were saved are traumatized.

In response to the deaths of loved ones, the nation vowed to fight terrorism with renewed determination, and the government also launched the National Action Plan for Counter-Terrorism.

As terrorists attempted to break the spirit of the country and the security institutions by targeting the future architects, ongoing educational activities across the country are sending a message that there has been no change in the determination of the nation, and the martyrs' sacrifices will not be in vain.

Also martyred by the terrorists was schoolteacher Farhat Abbas. Upon hearing the gunshots, he ran to the children in the school. Even today, Shaheed Farhat Abbas is mourned.

Shaheed Hasan Zeib's father has put all the things used by his son in a room, but there are now only memories of Hasan Zeib around.

Beenish, the brave daughter of the nation, was martyred while standing in front of the terrorists in the auditorium hall and saving the lives of children.

One of these martyrs is fifteen-year-old Osama Tahir Awan, whose parents have still not fully recovered from the traumatic massacre.

Eight years have passed by since the terrible attack, but the pain is still felt throughout the nation today.
