Punjab Government Colleges to Offer 10 Professional BS Programs
Punjab Government Colleges to Offer 10 Professional BS Programs
The Punjab government has announced the launch of ten new BS degree programs in government colleges. In order to create better employment opportunities for youth, the initiative aims to provide quality education to students. These degree programs will also charge students fees as low as 7,000 per year.
The tuition fee and other expenses for BS professional degree programs offered by universities typically exceed 100 thousand per year. Colleges in Punjab should be able to offer these degree programs at a minimum fee rate, according to the Punjab Higher Education Department. Numerous students in the province cannot afford the high cost of university degree programs, so this will be beneficial to them.
Keeping market demands, limited seats in government universities, and fees of private colleges in mind, the Department of Higher Education Punjab has begun offering professional degrees in government colleges. Among the programs are BS in Medical Lab Technology, TESOL, Tourism and Hotel Management, Textile Designing, Textile Designing, Food Sciences, Nutrition Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Software Engineering.
Dr. Ashiq said that efforts are being made to offer admission to as many students as possible in government colleges. Government colleges will also offer these programs in the evening. In addition to the lab facilities, he said that we have good faculty including MPhil and Ph.D. graduates. Cooper Road College, Samanabad, Dayal Singh, Ravi Road, Township, Civil Lines College, MAO College, Gulberg College, and others are offering these programs.
