Pakistani students are headed to the US for the finals of the STEAM challenge

Following their victory at the Destination Imagination educational event in Dubai, UAE, a team of seven Pakistani students will compete in the global finals in the United States.

In a statement released by TIS based in Karachi, the team of five to eleven-year-olds, recognized as the "youngest team" at the event, won several awards, showcasing their extraordinary creativity and critical thinking skills.

A nonprofit organization called Destination Imagination (DI), the event's organizer, taught students about the creative process through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities. The event in Dubai in late March 2023 was attended by more than 50 schools from around the world.

Javeria Siddiqui, Raahem Shafique Faridi, Azlan Malik, Ayesha Salman, Mishaal Fatima, Khadija Sultan, and Zamiyaar Saud are the winning Pakistani team members, from grades 1 to 5.

They won the piece-by-piece technical challenge category by creating a hydraulic puzzle and solving it.

The victorious Pakistani students have reached the Destination Imagination Global Finals after excelling at the UAE event. May 20th, 2023, is the date of the event in Missouri, United States.

In addition to representing Pakistan, the team will compete against teams around the world.

Through DI's 'Global Finals' event, children of all ages have the opportunity to share their creativity and culture.
