Pakistan condemns illegal closure of educational institute in IIOJK

Islamabad: Pakistan condemned the illegal sealing off of an educational institute in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Indian occupation forces on Sunday (IIOJK).

Pakistan strongly condemned the reported closure of Darul Uloom Khadija tul Kubra, an educational institute in IIOJK, according to a statement from the Foreign Office Spokesperson. On Friday, Indian occupation forces stormed Darul Uloom, insulting and abusing female students before forcibly evicting them and shutting the educational institution.

This heinous crime was just another example of the Indian occupation forces stomping on and mocking the fundamental rights of Kashmiri girls pursuing an education. It also pointed to rising Islamophobia, a phenomenon that was gaining momentum not only in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), but also across the country.

He claimed that denying Muslim girls’ access to education, whether in IIOJK or Karnataka, was a new low for India's far-right Hindutva-inspired regime.

The BJP leadership's deafening silence and lack of discernible action against proponents of 'Hindutva,' he added, should raise warning bells throughout the world community about India's severe and systemic human rights crimes.

Pakistan has appealed to the world community to recognise the BJP-aim RSS's of social and political disempowerment of Kashmiris in IIOJK, particularly Muslim youth, he said.

Pakistan also urged the international community, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to take immediate notice of India's astonishing rate of Islamophobia and pressure Indian authorities to stop systematic human rights violations against minorities, particularly Muslims, in the country, he added.
