New Regulatory Body to be Set Up for Punjab’s Private Schools
The government of Punjab has presented the plan to establish a new regulatory body for the private schools in the province.
Punjab Minister for School Education, Dr. Murad Raas, talking to media also said that a solitary regulatory authority would control private schools matters and issues related to fees.

“We aim to establish a regulatory authority for private schools that will control fees matters, other issues relating to the syllabus, licenses for new ones, etcetera,” said Dr. Raas while talking to media.
It is pertinent to note that the private school associations across the country have faced colossal issues during the covid-19 lockdown pertaining to fees. Many schools were shut permanently due to lack of operational funds. The private schools had complained that students did not pay any fees during the school closure and the drop out was also massive.
