National MDCAT Delayed Again
Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has once again announced that the MDCAT exams will be delayed, throughout the province.
After already being delayed earlier, the MDCAT exams were supposed to be held from the 7th to the 30th of September. However, on September 8th PMC issued an official statement regarding the medical exams, stating that yet again a new date would be announced.
According to the Minister of Health, Abdul Qadir Patel, the MDCAT dates will be announced later on, but PMC has acknowledged how candidates ready to take these examinations must have been feeling.
Students had mixed reactions to the news, some being optimistic and grateful for it being postponed, but others were not so overjoyed with the fact that the exams they had been preparing for would be pushed further, yet again.
With frustration over the statement brewing, many students took to twitter to express their point of view.
Many even called for the previous PMDC establishment to take effect.
Despite the mixed reaction from med-students, the ‘fresh dates’ for the exam are yet to be announced. It will be conducted nationwide on a single day.
“MDCAT will be held on a single day across the country and each public sector medical university will conduct the test in all the provinces.” – Abdul Qadir Pate
