MDCAT Delayed as PMC Issues New Schedule for 2022
Due to ongoing flooding in Pakistan, PMC MDCAT 2022 has been delayed. The Pakistan Medical Commission has announced a new schedule for MDCAT 2022. Dates for the start and end of the exams are announced for each city. PMC has rescheduled MDCAT 2022 as per the following notification.
According to the Medical & Dental Council at a meeting held in May 2022, the National Medical Authority (NMA) has been assigned the responsibility of conducting MDCAT under PMC Act 2020. In light of the "national emergency" declared in 72 Districts of Pakistan as a result of flooding, the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination (M/o NHSR&C) has instructed National Medical Authority (NMA) to postpone MDCAT 2022.
In accordance with the above-mentioned directions from the Balochistan Ministry of Health, Social Welfare and Culture and the Sindh Government, the National Medical Authority (NMA) reviewed MDCAT designated Exanimation Centers, and reports of NDMA, PDMA regarding the damage caused to road links, communication and infrastructure in Sindh, Baluchistan, Southern Punjab and KPK by widespread floods and displacement of local residents.
Further, MDCAT 2022 candidates based in non-flood hit areas have requested the National Medical Authority (NMA) to clarify their schedule as per the announced examination dates in September 2022; which is reported as hot and humid in Pakistan by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
