Klassroom, an edtech startup, has successfully raised $300,000 in a pre-Series A1 round
In the Pre-series A1 round, the Mumbai-based hybrid (offline to online) tutoring company raised an extra $300,000. This round has been led by ah! Ventures once again, with participation from StartupLanes, Startup Angels Network, Meteor Ventures, and Hem Angels, among others. A distinguished group of angel investors also participated in this investment round. ah! Ventures has made its 100th investment (in 79 startups), bringing the firm's total investment portfolio to INR 245 CR (32 MN USD), with 11 exits and 21 follow-on rounds completed so far. ah! Ventures anticipates making 40+ investments worth INR 150+ CR (20MN USD) this year, up from 37 in 2021.
Klassroom Edutech's monthly revenue has increased 5X since its latest fund round of $200,000 in May 2021. With the market recovering, Klassroom was able to immediately reactivate 120+ centres throughout Mumbai and Delhi in less than sixty days.
Klassroom delivers Live lectures that stream straight from the in-house 'K-Studio' on its website and app as part of the 'Klassroom for Bharat' objective for the mainstream market. Klassroom strives to bring quality education to the most remote corners of India, and eventually the world, through a vast content collection and live lectures delivered by highly experienced and trained lecturers. Klassroom delivers appealing price points by using its hybrid model and on-the-ground partner network of local coaching centres, making high-quality learning accessible to the middle and low-income groups.
It offers classes for grades 6 to 12, IIT-JEE, NEET, CA, CS, and other top competitive examinations, with new courses being added every month. Klassroom's Hybrid business model for the Urban Markets gives students flexibility by allowing students who are enrolled for physical tutoring to access online/live tutoring and vice versa.
