Jinnah Sindh Medical University declared Pakistan's top medical university
Britain's Times Higher Education named Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi as one of the leading medical and government universities in Sindh.
According to Express News, the UK's Times Higher Education (THE) has released the Impact Ranking for 2022, in which Jinnah Sindh Medical University has been declared the best among the medical universities of Pakistan, as well as Sindh. JSMU is also at the forefront of public universities.
In the THE ranking, 63 private and public universities of Pakistan were included in which Jinnah Sindh Medical University was ranked 12th.
According to Express News, the ranking included more than a thousand universities from all over the world in which JSMU was ranked 601st while JSMU along with only 2 other universities from Sindh which are included in this ranking.
Dow Medical University, NED University, Dawood Engineering University, Rawalpindi Medical University, Agricultural University Faisalabad, Quaid-e-Azam University and other universities have also been included in THE Impact Rankings.
In this regard, the Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon said that the inclusion of JSMU in the list of Pakistan's medical universities and government universities in Sindh in the Times rankings indicates that the performance of the university is moving in the right direction.
He congratulated Dr. Wahid Usmani, Director, QEC and his team for achieving this important milestone and said that they are confident that the University will further improve its performance in the years to come.
