Thousands of disadvantaged students will benefit from a 50 percent reduction in semester tuition at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).
According to Treasurer Prof. Dr. Abou Bakar, the decision was made in response to student and parent requests for fee reductions.
The Treasurer said during a statement that he had received thousands of applications from parents and students.

He submitted the matter to Vice-Chancellor IUB, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, after scrutinising applications.
The VC formed a Special Crisis Committee to examine the nature of applicants and varsity expenses before suggesting a fee reduction of 10 to 50 percent for 2,245 disadvantaged students.
VC Engr.
