As a result of failing the exam, students from classes 11 and 12 committed suicide in India. As reported in Indian media, the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate declared the 11th and 12th class results.

After 48 hours of the results being officially announced, the students took their own lives.

Most of the students who committed suicide studied at reputable educational institutions in their areas, according to the report.
