Exam schedule and summer vacations announced by Punjab Govt

From June 1st to July 31st, 2022, the Punjab government has announced two-month summer vacations for all public and private schools in the province.

According to the notification released by the Punjab School Education Department, the decision was made on Monday.

According to the notification, the new academic year 2022-23 will begin on August 1st, with annual assessments for Grades 1 through 8 beginning in May.

Sindh's government has previously declared summer vacations for all public and private schools and universities in the province from June 1st to July 31st, 2022. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Sindh Education and Literacy Department's (SELD) Steering Committee, which was chaired by Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Education.

It was decided that the yearly examinations for Grades 4 through 8 will begin on May 2nd. The authorities also agreed that the exams will consist of 40% multiple-choice questions and 60% subjective questions. It was also decided that the Matriculation and Intermediate exams will take place on the 17th and 15th of May, respectively. The results will be disclosed within two months of the examinations, according to the chairmen of the education boards.

Syed Khalid Haider Shah, Secretary Colleges, stated that the admission process would begin as soon as the Intermediate board examination results were announced. Winter breaks will begin on December 22nd and end on December 31st.
