Madhavi Shankar an entrepreneur from Bengaluru, India launched her EdTech startup ‘SpaceBasic’ For all stakeholders including students, staff, and management to facilitate the process of hostel management.  SpaceBasic is an application that helps student housing and hostels simplify manual tasks. It also empowers institutions to make data-driven decisions using its AI Platform, which provides insights into the data they generate on a daily basis.

Institutions can simply register to begin using SpaceBasic, which operates as a plug-and-play model and freestanding application. The features are similar to a mega blocks in that they can be simply added and removed as needed. Institutions can contact the support team via the official website or by calling the toll-free number.
Over 60 educational institutions, individual co-living communities, and student housing communities collaborate with SpaceBasic.

As said by Madhavi, digitalization would play a critical role in the future management of educational institutions. Artificial intelligence (AI) can assist educational institutions in making data-driven decisions.

SpaceBasic's AI platform uses cloud analytic and machine learning engines to analyze data and produce cost savings, improved operations, and a better student experience. Students' experiences are digitized through the automation of daily duties and communication inside student hostel communities, such as
maintenance requests’ automation, one touch attendance & alerts.
