EAD: Dual National Pakistanis to be admitted into PTAP in 2022

Under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program, the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) announces admissions to MBBS, BDS, D.Pharmacy, and BSc Engineering programs in Pakistani universities for Pakistanis with foreign nationality (PTAP). For the Session 2022-23, a limited number of seats are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy), and B.Sc. Engineering for students of Pakistani origin with foreign nationality.

Pakistan Technical Assistance Programs have the same fee structure as local Pakistani students admitted on merit to respective universities. The deadline for applying to the PTAP program for Pharmacy and BSc Engineering is August 9, 2022. The deadline for PTAP MBBS and BDS Admission 2022 applications is September 15, 2022. Application forms are available for download from the EAD website.

Eligibility Criteria for BSc Engineering Admissions through PTAP

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be completed at the HSSC level or higher.
At least 60% in the HSSC or equivalent examination.
Some universities require candidates to have passed the SAT-I and SAT-II or the Entry Test.
If the qualifying examination's medium of instruction is not English, candidates must provide a valid TOEFL or IELTS score of S50 or 5.5, respectively. OR
After completing a one-year English language course, students are certified by the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad.
Criteria for D. Pharmacy Admission through PTAP
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are required at the high school or equivalent level.
At least 60% in HSSC or equivalent from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

PTA Eligibility Criteria in General

Valid proof of foreign nationality is required (self and parent).
A valid proof of Pak-Origin in the form of a Pakistan Origin card/NADRA l.D.Card or a Pakistani Passport is required.
Physically studied and passed the 12th grade or equivalent exam from abroad.
Certificate of HSSC or equivalent, as well as detailed marks certificate/transcripts
In the case of a foreign qualification, an Equivalence Certificate is issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen.
Foreign Nationality, Parent, and Self (foreign passport, citizenship certificate, etc.).
The green card cannot be used to prove foreign nationality.
Pak-Origin Proof (Pakistani Passport, l.D. Card, etc.)
If English is not the medium of instruction, a valid TOEFL/IELTS score card is required for admission to B.Sc. Engineering.

Candidates interested in applying must submit their finished applications on the prescribed application form to the PTAP Section of the Economic Affairs Division, along with the attachments listed above, by September 15, 2022, for MBBS and BDS and August 09, 2022, for D.Pharmacy and B.Sc. Engineering. Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will be rejected.
