Certificate of No Objection for MS & Ph.D. programs is required by HEC

For all Universities/Higher Education Institutions (HEls) to launch MS/MPhil or equivalent programs and Ph.D. programs, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been mandatory since November 7th, 2013.

Before admission, students must ensure that the university has a valid NOC to offer MPhil/MS/equivalent and Ph.D. programs. Please visit the NEC website for updated NOCs given at the link: http://www.hec.gov.pk/site/NOCs-MPhil-PhD

Additionally, affiliated colleges/institutions are prohibited from offering master's, doctoral, or equivalent programs.

The HEC advises parents and aspiring students NOT to apply for Ph.D. and MPhil/MS programs offered by universities/degree awarding institutions or sub-campuses without prior HEC approval, or those offered and taught at any affiliated institutions/colleges.

Degrees awarded in violation of HEC guidelines will not be recognized or attested by HEC.
