A national registration period for the hockey tryouts has begun, thanks to partnership between the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) and a number of higher education institutions (men and women).

The Talent Hunt Youth Sports League programme is behind the trials. Male and female young athletes between the ages of 15 and 25 may sign up to play in the sport. Documents such as CNIC/Form-B and the domicile of young players will be examined.

The registered players may, however, show up for trials in the province's closest venues. The winners of the trials will be qualified to compete in the provincial and national leagues. From the trial period through the national league, they will receive ongoing coaching and mentoring that includes a variety of opportunities for future advancement, including representing Pakistan at the national and international levels.

In order to provide young players a chance to show off their hockey talent, HEC will hold the trials at 25 places, including the federal capital, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Sindh. The PMYP encourages all of its young and eager hockey players to register online at https://pmyp.gov.pk/HEC/SportsForm. The qualified players will also be given the option to register right now.
