The Ph.D. Program in Philosophy taught in English, besides studies in residence, offers an opportunity for extramural studies (extramural studies is a Bulgarian version of distance learning). This Program provides instruction in all major areas of Western Philosophy; besides, the doctoral dissertation can be written on a topic from Eastern Philosophy as well - an expert in this field will be appointed as the supervisor. This program secures guidelines by faculty and leaves enough room for student’s own preferences. It is accredited by the The National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency, https://www.neaa.government.bg/en/; this accreditation is valid throughout the EU/UK/EEA and Switzerland.
