Pakistani Startup Democratizes ID Verification – Sabhi Launches its Customer ID Verification Solution

Islamabad: Sabhi's Identification Operating System now allows any Pakistani public or private body to authenticate their customer's identity with a single click (IDOS).

The launching of Sabhi's IDOS, a Pakistani startup, enables enterprises to create trusted digital ecosystems by linking consumer accounts to validated government papers in a simple and easy manner.

Financial institutions, fintechs, social welfare organisations, telecoms, and digital startups may easily integrate identity verification into their websites, applications, or checkouts with the solution designed exclusively for the Pakistani market.

Only a few organizations, notably banks, were previously able to use government records to conduct time-consuming verification and know-your-customer (KYC) operations. By integrating government ID validation with proprietary face verification and liveness detection software, Sabhi's IDOS is allowing businesses and institutions to increase verified access to digital services.

"We have entered a hyper-connected era, in which digital services are seamlessly integrated into people's daily lives." A child born today may not have access to a bank card, a passport, or cash. A thumbprint, a face scan, or her voice might all be used as her signature.   At Sabhi, we create solutions that enable today's and tomorrow's digital customers." Sabhi's CEO, Muhammad Hamza Ikram, stated he believes that their IDOS would be swiftly embraced by developers across Pakistan's mobile and web ecosystem.

The Sabhi IDOS uses advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to instantly authenticate a customer's identity, allowing businesses to make onboarding decisions. The customer can create an account using any mobile device and will only need a photo ID and their face. Through AI technology, the ID document is scanned down to a single pixel, confirming that the customer's facial biometrics match those on the photo ID, ensuring its legitimacy and that the person presenting it is alive and genuine.

Sabhi appears to be a key component in Pakistan's digital ecosystem's supercharging and democratization. The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) saw the potential and gave the initial grant financing for the Sabhi platform's development.

As part of their open beta, the Sabhi IDOS is now available at \https://www.sabhi.org/
