Here’s a Breakdown of New 3G/4G Users in Pakistan This September

According to data revealed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan increased to 104.71 million by the end of September 2021, up from 103.12 million at the end of August 2021 registering an increase of 1.59 million.

By the end of September 2021, the number of cellular subscribers in Pakistan had climbed by 0.82 million to 186.39 million, up from 185.57 million at the end of August 2021.

The cellular mobile teledensity increased from 84.67% at the end of August to 85.01 % of September. 

By the end of September 2021, monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration had reached 47.47 %, up from 47.05 % of August 2021.

Jazz's total number of 3G users had dropped to 7.261 million by the end of September 2021 compared to 7.438 million by the end of August 2021, a reduction of 0.177 million. Moreover, by the end of September, the number of Jazz 4G users had risen from 32.767 million to 33.676 million.

The number of Zong 3G customers fell from 4.046 million in August to 3.956 million in September, while the number of 4G users increased from 24.099 million in August to 24.813 million in September.

Telenor's 3G users declined from 4.777 million to 4.575 million by the end of August. But the  number of 4G customers had climbed from 18.333 million to 18.767 million by the end of September 2021.

The number of Ufone 3G users had dropped from 4.292 million to 4.212 million by the end of September 2021. However, Ufone's 4G subscriber base grew from 6.246 million at the end of August to 6.324 million at the end of September.
